About Oxbury

Oxbury launched as a fully regulated bank in 2021 and is the only UK bank dedicated to British agriculture. We provide British farmers and food producers with the financing they need to run their farm businesses.

About Oxbury Foresty and Woodland Creation Finance

The planting of new woodland is a crucial element of tackling the climate and nature crisis due to the potential to capture and store carbon as well as creating new habitats to improve biodiversity and regulate water flow. Tree planting provides additional benefits for the farm business in the form of new income streams and improves long-term resilience.

Many farmers and land managers are looking to plant trees with the assistance of grants such as the England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO) or the Landscape Recovery scheme. These grants require an initial capital outlay to create and plant the woodlands by the recipient.

Many farmers and land managers struggle to provide the necessary cash at inception which prevents projects taking place despite the potential future benefits to the business.

Oxbury are offering financing facilities to bridge the funding gap between the establishment of new woodland and the receipt of grant payments. Funding is released once the planning stages have been completed and have received approval for their projects from the necessary authorities. The length of the funding, interest rate and repayment terms will be discussed and agreed depending on each farmer or land manager’s individual project plan.
